Quiet Rituals: Inside a Russian-Chinese Fusion Lounge
As an interior designer, I’m endlessly drawn to the spaces where contrast becomes harmony—and Quiet Rituals is exactly that. This concept lounge explores the nuanced intersection between Russian heritage and New Chinese Minimalism, translating cultural depth into a sensory, immersive environment.
Every element of the space is curated to evoke calm and reverence: from the textural richness of birchwood and carved archways, to the clean geometry of shoji screens and stone surfaces. The palette leans into moody neutrals, with restrained accents of lacquer red and deep jade, inviting guests into a world that feels both grounded and transcendent.
Designed as a sanctuary for slow tea, quiet conversation, and contemplative moments, Tundra & Tao is not just a restaurant—it’s a ritual in itself. The layering of tradition and restraint here reflects a deeper narrative about how we gather, how we rest, and how we return to stillness in the midst of modern life.
